Overview

Purpose

This documentation teaches you how to use the Virtual Developer code generators. In order to be able to provide input for the generators and to work with generator output, you have to be familiar with the concepts of the modeling languages and the software architecture that the generation results are based upon.

Prerequisites

To be able to use the generators, you need the following things:

  • An account for the Virtual Developer Platform
  • An installed Virtual Developer Connector (e.g. the Connector for Eclipse)
  • Optional but useful: An installed Virtual Developer Modeler (Eclipse Plugin). You could also use a basic text editor for the creation of models. But the Virtual Developer Modeler makes your life much easier by providing syntax highlighting, code proposals and the visualization of errors.
