Model Context

The number of elements and modules grows over time. While working with the web modeler, you have to be careful not to lose the overview. The so-called “model context” helps you here:

You create a model and set up references to a set of modules. The elements of those modules and the modules that those modules have dependencies to, are the ones that you want to work with. Setting the model context affects the following views:

View Effect
Element Search View Only elements in the model context are displayed.
Module Search View Only modules in the model context are displayed.
Module Details View New Modules are automatically assigned to the model in the context.
Diagram View Only elements that are part of the model context are displayed. Note that this affects only links from elements that point towards one of the elements in the model context.
Element Wizard View All elements are being displayed in the element’s link tree, no matter whether they are part of the model context or not. However, when you are going to set up new links by chosing from lists of elements, those elements that are not part of the model context are displayed in a slightly different way.
